My mind was fogged. My back ached. There was something chaining me down. My eyes fluttered a bit until they shot wide open. My vision was blurred, but it was obvious that I was being held captive somewhere. I just sat there for a bit, letting my mind come back to reality. What had happened? Where was I? All I could remember was a scream, and a flash of red. That was it. My head hurt. Pain throbbed throughout my body. When my mind was were it belonged, I finally acknowledged where I was being held. My eyes searched the metal bars that surrounded me. The walls were moist, and moss began to grow on the walls. The air was sour. I put my hoof up to my nose. A trickle of blood flowed down. I guess this is where she hit me. I shook my head. I groaned. Something must've happened while I was unconscious for my head to hurt this much. I lifted my hooves. They were chained up, and the chains were connected to the wall. What kind of pony does this? I began to panic. The bricks that made up the walls were dark and run down. A door stood outside my cell. I began to her hoof steps in the hall.

"Who's there?" I yelled. I was so frightened.

"Oh good! Your awake." A deep voice called out from the door. I looked up. A pony stood at the doorway.

"Hello Fluttershy." She said extremely calm. She only smiled. I started breathing hard again. My mind boggled with questions. Questions like, "who was this pony?" I groaned again.

"Where- wheres Rainbow?" I immediately shot up. My heart racing. Did Rainbow survive the fall? Is she dead? Then I looked closer at this pony. Yes, I knew her. This is the pony that kicked her off the cliff. I tried to run towards the cell door, but the chains that held me back were too strong. I became furious. The pony only smiled again. She seems to enjoy watching other ponies' misery.

"Why Fluttershy," The pony spoke, "you look exhausted! Why don't you lie down-"

"Tell me what happened!" I yelled. I immediately closed my mouth. I had never yelled that loud before.

"The truth may hurt you." I faced the floor, and shook my head. When I arose my head, tears began to form and fall down my cheeks.

"Please..." I whispered. It didn't matter. Rainbow would never find me.

"She's dead.." She came closer to the cell door. I began to yank on the chains, longing to be free from this nightmare.

"You monster!" I screamed. I tugged and tugged at the chains, but they didn't budge. I began crying and yelling even more. Rainbow was all I had for a love. Now what's my purpose? I began to feel tired. The chains felt as if they got tighter and tighter with each tug on them.

"Please Fluttershy. You're only making things hard on yourself." This pony was insane! My love is dead and she doesn't care!

"Step into the light." I said. I need to see this pony.

"I don't think so." The only detail from her face was her smile, and the only source of light was from the far window in the corner, letting in Luna's glowing moon light.

"You see, I needed Rainbow dead so that you can join me." What? What does that even mean?

"What does that even mean?" I spoke my mind.

"Why, Fluttershy. It means that I need ponies with broken hearts to help me rule Equestria. You see, love weakens me in many ways. It's pathetic, and weak. With it, the ponies that work for me would be able to over throw me, but my powers allow me to control them, as long as no love remains." The plan was sick and twisted. I had to escape! I yanked on the chains once more. This seemed to be amusing to her.

"You know you can't just yank the chain right off the wall!" She laughed some more. I wouldn't be surprised if her cutie mark was her laughing. The sounds of a walkie talkie made me jump out of my skin. Every little noise startled me. The pony seemed to get irritated.

"What?" Muffles on the other line must've made her upset.

"Fine! Just, well, no- I.. Ug! Just be ready to put Fluttershy to work when I say so!" She then put her talkie down. Me? Work? This was insane!

"Listen, you've um- already hurt my emotions, so how do you expect me to work for you?" I smiled. She looked straight into my eyes. Chills went up my back. The thought of her stare was intense.

"I have ways.." Was all she said before she walked out of the room, leaving me to stare at an empty room. All I could think of was Rainbow. Her body probable at the bottom of the cliff, gone, dead, and there was nothing I could do about it. The pain hurt. I began remembering moments that Rainbow and I had. The time we sold cupcakes in the forest. The time we worked together to defeat Discord. Of course, everyone else helped, but I got to tie Rainbow down when she turned gray! Sure she was mad at me, but she's so cute when she's angry. These memories brought tears to my eyes. I realized that I would never had another bake sale, or another slumber party with her ever. I had to take my mind off of it. The pain of my emotions will only make her stronger. My curiosity did get to my head. I needed to know what this pony looked like. Was she an alicorn? What were her powers? My mind still full of answers. I then realized I was very tired. I yawned loudly as I tried to make myself as comfortable as I could on the stone floor. I eventually slipped into a restless sleep. My dreams replaying the moment Rainbow falling to her death. This was going to be a long night of endless nightmares.

I felt sick in the morning. My eyelids still drooping. I must've been just tired sick. Well, whatever it was, it didn't feel good. I looked around the cell to see if there was anything I could sit on. Nothing. The nearest chair was outside my cell door. The chains didn't help me either. They were tight, metal, and very cold. Hoof steps came down the hall. It sounded like multiple. Maybe three ponies, four at the most. The one ahead of all the ponies was that horrifying monster that passes herself off as a pony. As I looked  closer, I realized that behind her, were regular ponies like me! Except their eyes were as red as blood.

"What- What... are you?" She laughed, and so did the other ponies.

"This is what is going to happen to you." I backed up as far as I could until the wall touched my back. I started to shake. The idea of it was horrifying. Then that stupid talkie went off again. The pony rolled her eyes as she pressed the black button on the side of it.

"What is it now Minuette?" She called. My heart sank. Minuette was here?! I let my body fall to the floor. It was too overwhelming.

"Princess Heartless!" Minuette called from the other talkie. Princess Heartless?

"I found Bon Bon and Lyra." A smile crept to her face.

"What shall I do?" Princess Heartless thought about it for a bit, but responded confidently.

"Bring me Lyra."

"And Bon Bon?" Her reply was much quicker.

"Kill her."

Dreams about the princess haunted me. I dreamed her taking over Equestria, and killing everyone I ever knew. I felt myself whimpering in my sleep. I felt my love was dying inside my heart. It had to stay strong, for I knew she could control me if I didn't. I also dreamed about what she might have done to Bon Bon. I was so scared. I miss my pets. I miss Ponyville. I miss my friends.

I miss Rainbow.... My nightmares were interrupted by that monster's voice.

"Wake up Fluttershy" said the demanding beast. My mind was still full of dreams, but I managed to make out her words. Then it came to me. I can't just lie here everyday! I need answers! I need to get free.

"Every time I come in here to talk to you, I am interrupted by-"

"Listen to me!" I yelled at her.

"Ponies like you." She growled. I saw her eyes glow bright red. For an odd reason, she only visits me at night.

"Show me your face." This only seemed to make her eyes glow even brighter.

"And why would I show you? My face is no different from any other ponies" She asked. If she's hiding her face, then there's something to see. I only smirked.

"Alright, but when you see my face, it may shock you-"

"Just um- uh... show me.." I interrupted her once more. She growled as she stepped into the light. My eyes grew big from horror. Her eyes were like no ponies. Her hair like snakes. Her cape that she always wore hid her tail, but the cape was black with broken hearts on it. The shoes she wore were light red, but her herself was dark red. Evil written on her face. She also had one loop earring on one of her ears. It scared me even to look at her, but I had to. Her eye was like a snake, red, cold blooded, and around her pupil was the color green. Green that could even glow brightest in the dark. Her wings were covered by her cape, but her horn was visible. Her hair wavy with a curve at the end. The whole thing was terrifying.

"Well, now you have a visssssual of me." She hissed on the "s". My eyes grew bigger with each step she took towards the cage. Her pink tongue hissed at me, like a real snake.

"W-who a-are y-you?" I trembled as I spoke these words.

"My name is Heartless Snake, but please, call me Princesssssss Heartless." She joked on the last words. I held back my tears. Who knew what this pony, or snake- like thing could do? She giggled, and walked out of the room. I began to yank harder, and harder on the chain. I began to kick and scream. I was freaking out. I yanked harder and harder.

"You don't expect to break free that way are you?" A voice came from behind me. I quickly turned around. A pony in a dark cloak stood there. I couldn't make out who it was.

"You're Fluttershy, right?" I nodded.

"Well, you may have seen me around Ponyville before. My name is Berry Punch." As a matter of fact, I do remember Berry Punch. We weren't very close friends, but I knew her.

"Um.. yes, I know you.." I didn't feel like talking after Heartless Snake almost scared me to death just by looking at me.

"Well, I'm here to bust you out." My eyes lit up with joy. My spirit raised back into my body. She too smiled.

"Um, Berry Punch? Umm, if ponies who are with Heartless Snake had glowing red eyes, why hasn't she caught you?"

"This cloak blocks out my eyes, so don't worry about me. I heard your story. Princess Heartless was telling her other minions." She said as she grabbed something from under her cloak. Ten keys hung on a chain. I couldn't help, but smile. She finally found the right key, and opened the door. As she walked towards me, I realized a huge scar was on her face... and it was recent. She seemed to notice me staring at it.

"Oh this?" She asked as she pointed to it.

"This is what one of her minions did to me, nothing major." It looked like a pretty bad scar to me. Berry Punch then skimmed through the keys once more and found a silver key. She put it into one of the cuffs I was in. She turned the key and the cuff immediately became loose. I yanked it off. Red surrounded where the cuff was for days. Then she unlocked the other one. The thrill of being out of those cuffs was the best feeling ever.

"Thank you." Was all I could say to her. She smiled and nodded. Then we both ran out of that room and down the dark, long hallway.

"Um.. Berry Punch? How do you know where your going?" I asked. We had been going left and right for at least twenty minutes and my hooves weren't exactly ready to be stood on, considering I've been sitting for the past couple days.

"I know exactly where I'm going. Even if I did get lost, I have a map of the entire castle. It's pretty big though.." She trailed off.

"Ah, here we are." She said as we came up to a single door. She opened it and there stood cloaks of all sizes.

"Here." She said as she handed me one. It seemed like it fit. I tried it on and sure enough, it did fit. I looked around the hall. It was very dark and creepy. The stone on the walls were covered in mold. Gross. The air was musty, and with every step, it got harder to breathe. As we continued to walk, I noticed that we had not spoken since I got my cloak. I decided to at least say something.

"So, why does the princess want you?" She chuckled at the comment.

"Because I've never felt true love. She feeds on that too. She either gets ponies that are heart broken, or ponies who have never felt love, like me." I felt kind of bad for her. Not having to feel love must be horrible. We kept walking down the hall. Pony shadows danced on the walls from the corner of the hall. I began to panic.

"Calm down! Those ponies will think we are one of them." She snapped. When the ponies came around the corner, they stared at us, but just continued their walking. I let out a huge breath of air.

"Told you! See, we wear the same cloaks as they do, so they think we're under Heartless' power."I only nodded my head. After a few hoof steps, a loud siren began to beep loudly. Almost like a fire truck noise. I put my head down fast and put my hooves over my ears, but Berry Punch didn't flinch.

"Okay, scratch my first plan, we need to get to the throne room." She shouted as she ran down the hall and turned left.

"Berry Punch! Wait! Where's the throne room?" I called. The siren noise was so loud it hurt my ears. I managed to get up, and run down the hall. After I turned left, there were three ways to go. Left, right, or keep going forward? I hesitated. I ran forward and prayed to Celestia that I was going that right way. I then made out yells.

"Hey you! Where are you going? We're going to the throne room!"  I turned around. A stallion with red eyes faced me."

"Oh sorry!" I  yelled over the siren.

"I lost my umm... uh- umm map!" I made sure that the cloak hid my eyes.

"Well then follow me before you get lost or something!" He then turned right, leaving me to follow him. Great. After going, he turned right again. How does he know how to get around? After loads of twists and turns, we arrived at double doors. Very big double doors might I add. Carved on each door was a black snake with red eyes. The stallion then pushed opened the doors. I gulped as I proceeded through the doors.

I understand now why it was called the Throne Room. Several feet away was a throne, color black as night, snake designs red as blood. I began to shake again. This was very frightening. And my scared level went up when Princess Heartless stepped up to her throne. She didn't look too happy. I walked as close as I could to the throne without bumping into other ponies that were in the room. At least that stupid siren went off. It seemed like everyone from the castle was in this room. It was gigantic. Huge statues of snakes crawled up the walls. Their eyes glowed red as well. I shivered. I hated this place. Snake statues were practically everywhere. There was something about these statues though. They seemed to carry energy, as if they were alive. I was lost in my own thoughts, and a hoof on my shoulder brought me back. I jumped, only to realize it was Berry Punch.

"Where were you? I got worried." She asked.

"I uh.. didn't expect you to to be that fast... Sorry."

"It's fine." She said as she turned towards the throne.

"Every pony! Quiet down!" Heartless Snake shouted. She apparently had something important to say. Really important I guess.

"Fluttershy has escaped!" I sank lower to the ground. Fear crept into my mind. Great. This isn't going to be any easier than it was before.

"And we need her! If her love is restored, we all could die!" Everyone gasped. That was a lie. Everyone would be free, not die. But hey, when everyone is under a dark, evil spell, then that isn't the time to speak up.

"Stallions! Search the 1st floor! This left half of the room," she said as she pointed to the left of her, "Will search the 2nd floor, the middle section will search the 3rd floor, and the right of me shall search the 4th floor! Do not rest until she is found!" Great. I'll be searching for myself on the 3rd floor. Berry Punch then grabbed my hoof.

"Come on! We have to get out of here." She said as she pulled me to the nearest exit, only to be blocked by three stallions.

"And where are you two going?" He smiled.

"Um going to um.. find uh- um... Fluttershy...?" I smiled, but the stallion laughed.

"Hoops? What is it?" Heartless Snake asked demandingly. She then looked closer. She laughed as she used a spell to pick Berry Punch and me up. We fought and fought, but couldn't get out of the magic she surrounded us in.

"Well, well, what do we have here? April! Pull their hoods back!" A turquoise pony came up, and pulled our hoods back. Every pony laughed evilly. Busted.

"Now Berry Punch, I thought you were working for me."

"I did." Was Berry Punches only reply before she just stared at the ground.

"Well this is just a surprise! And might I add that-" Her talkie went off again.

"Um, Princess Heartless? We have a problem." The muffled voice from the other end said.

"What is it Minuette?" She asked.

"Rainbow survived! She's down by the cliffs!" My heart leaped. I couldn't believe it! How? I couldn't keep in my excitement. Berry Punch smiled at me. I guess she couldn't believe it either. I looked at Heartless. Her eyes glowing redder than ever.

"What?!" She yelled. She then turned towards me. Her face twisted in pain. My love for Rainbow was hurting her! It weakens her more than I thought!

"That's it! Keep Rainbow there!" She put the talkie back.

"Throw them in the freezer chamber!" She yelled to Hoops and April. They both nodded, and picked us up.

"Hey! What are you going to do with Rainbow?!" I yelled to Heartless Snake

"I'm gonna pay her a vissssit.."
